The University of Newcastle upon Tyne is a popular UK university with an excellent pedigree in research and teaching and is closely integrated into the economic, cultural and social life of the North East of England. Research income from grants and contracts reached £81,600,000 in the year 2008-2009. In the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise the University entered 38 subject areas, spanning medicine, the sciences, engineering, humanities and the arts. A high proportion of research was ranked in the top two categories of 4* and 3″. The University’s teaching record across all disciplines is outstanding, and the University was chosen by The Sunday Times newspaper as its University of the Year 2000-01. The student population was 18,878 in 2008-09, with 4,899 staff and an annual income of more than £342m. More than 2,500 overseas students choose to study at Newcastle, from over 100 countries.

National Aerospace University “KhAI”, Ukraine 

With 11,000 students and 2,700 academic staff. KhAI is one of the leading institutions of higher education in Ukraine for the naming of specialists for the aircraft and aerospace industry in Ukraine and beyond. KhAI has branches in Mexico. Germany, Finland and China and cooperates with first rate national and foreign manufacturers of aircraft engineering: «ANTONOV», «BOEING», -AIRBUS- and participates in the international programs «ALPHA« and »SEALAUNCH». In addition, KhAI is one of the largest technical universities of Eastern Ukraine.
The Department of Computer Systems and Networks (CSN) carries out intensive research and methodical activities aimed at increasing the quality of engineering studies. The focus of research activities is on the development of methods, techniques, instrumental systems and tools for assessment, modeling, designing and expertise of dependable software, computer systems and networks for aerospace, atomic energy, medical and business-critical applications.

CRITIWARE is a ICT company providing services and tools to support the engineering of critical computer systems. It is an academic spin-off of the Naples Federico II, founded by members of the MobiLab research group (www.mobilab.unina.it). CRITIWARE provides services and products to support design, V&V, and maintenance of critical computer systems, such as avionic and naval transportation, power and water supply infrastructures, automobile and enviroment monitoring. ONPU Odessa National Polytechnic University, Ukraine

ONPU founded in 1918 has generated a lot engineering universities and academies of the South of Ukraine keeping the base positioning this region. 20000 of students, graduate employees, post-graduate students are trained here, the process being effected by personnel numbering 2000 lecturers, researchers and practical engineers. By decision of Session of Council of European University Association, held in Brussels on January 15th, 2009, Yuri Fedkovich Chernivtsi National University was granted a full individual membership in European University Association. Institute of Cybernetics is leading research organization in Ukraine providing science researching in the field of computer science. Founded in 1957. InCYB has over 400 researchers, and 300 employees. 59 researchers have academic titles of Professors and scientific Dr.Sc. degrees. Over 160 researchers have academic titles of Senior scientific researchers and scientific PhD degrees. 17 researchers are full member of National Academy of Science of Ukraine. Today InCYB participates in numerous research projects in informatics and computer designing areas with academic and industrial partners in 25 departments. Today, main areas of research activities of Department of Microprocessor Devices are designing the FPGA-based reconfigurable computer systems and problem-oriented processors. Founded in 1975, Department of Microprocessor Devices has over 20 researchers.
